Assignment #1- Important Papers Envelope

Your mission is to find the following list of papers and make copies of them, place them in a large envelope, stick a current family photo on the envelope, and laminate it.

Birth/Marriage certificates

Passports (if you have them. if you don't you should think about getting one, you never know when you will have to flea the country to avoid law enforcement)

SSN cards

Deeds

Home Insurance Policies

Inventory of valuable household goods

Wills

Stock and Bonds

Immunization Records

Bank Account Numbers

Credit Card Numbers and Companies

Important Telephone Numbers

I know this seem like a long list, hopefully, most of these things are already rounded up and organized neatly in the perfect little folder that you know right where it is. If not, just think, you can kill two birds with one stone. Ha :)

You know the mission, now begin. You have until midnight, August 30. I will give the next assignment the last week of August.

This message will self-destruct in 1 minute. (just kidding, it really won't. but seriously, go now- finish your task)

Ryan's a little concerned about having all our vital information in one place. If the envelope is stolen then we've given the thief the whole puzzle instead of just a piece of the puzzle. What do you think? Should we have a couple different envelopes instead of one? Ryan is a bit cynical and very cautious so maybe it doesn't really matter and you should just ignore us :)

I'm still working on getting our stuff together. I have to admit that I started late and we can't find all of this information. So, I've started but am not finished. I will continue to press forward and finish my mission!

You could put it in different envelopes if you feel more comfortable with that. The idea of having this is in case of an evacuation (which are usually unexpected and quick). As long as they are handy and you could get them quickly, do whatever. Obviously, you would want to have this envelope in a place that no one is going to find. Whatever works for you, is what you should do.
