We've never looked better (to eat that is)

Our family- tree?
The names actually showed up on the pictures which is a nice touch, wouldn't you say. Now we can always know what everyone used to look like at this age, especially Coleson (a spitting image)
By the way- Luke got a haircut, it's shorter than ever before. People don't recognize him.

Family Reunion T-shirts

For those of you who are wondering about the T-shirts. We are still going to make them. I have the preview of the jpeg file and I am still waiting on the order to come in. Apparantly, that wasn't done when I thought it had been done. A minor miscommunication, sorry about that. Keep your shirts, or wear them and you can buy new ones later.
I was able to figure out how to get this sample sheet on here (applause). This is how the pages are printed- the object is to get as many things on there as possible. Then we can cut it apart and decorated the shirts how we want them. Ex: the large logo could go in the back, the smaller logos could be placed on the front, to the side. You can put your name on it with the letters if you care to do that. The options are endless. Just because the object was to get as many things on the sheet as possible, that doesn't necessarily mean that you will be trying to get as many decals on the shirts as possible. Please keep that in mind. There will be several of these sheets printed, so there will be plenty to go around. And when they come, we will just have a t-shirt decorating, rip roaring time. Natalie, do you know when the next time you will be coming up here will be? Leave a comment and let me know. As you may have been able to tell, I would not recommend using a green, black, or brown shirt for this project- but any other color, it seems, would work. In case you're wondering, I think pink would be really cute :) As my kids are now saying, "Peace out, boy scout"

Assignment #1- Important Papers Envelope

Your mission is to find the following list of papers and make copies of them, place them in a large envelope, stick a current family photo on the envelope, and laminate it.

Birth/Marriage certificates

Passports (if you have them. if you don't you should think about getting one, you never know when you will have to flea the country to avoid law enforcement)

SSN cards

Deeds

Home Insurance Policies

Inventory of valuable household goods

Wills

Stock and Bonds

Immunization Records

Bank Account Numbers

Credit Card Numbers and Companies

Important Telephone Numbers

I know this seem like a long list, hopefully, most of these things are already rounded up and organized neatly in the perfect little folder that you know right where it is. If not, just think, you can kill two birds with one stone. Ha :)

You know the mission, now begin. You have until midnight, August 30. I will give the next assignment the last week of August.

This message will self-destruct in 1 minute. (just kidding, it really won't. but seriously, go now- finish your task)

Welcome to the Green blog!

Alright, so here we are. A place to post your thoughts, ideas, quotes, and anything else you deem necessary to talk about.
Each month I will give the assignment for our family preparedness. Hopefully, by doing it this way, we can get a hold on all the things we feel we should be doing and not get overwhelmed.
As you accomplish the task at hand, click on "comment" in that particular post and let us know that you completed it. If you took any shortcuts or found any additional info that would benefit us all, post it there for us all to see.
Thanks and good luck.
